Mieke Kramer

Mieke Kramer is a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the field of eating disorder recovery and addiction recovery for years. Mieke earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Emory University and then completed her Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from Georgia Southern University. She began her career path as a Wellness and Exercise Physiologist at St. Joseph/Candler’s Wellness Center in Savannah working with special populations. Realizing that both physical health and mental health are closely related, she returned to graduate school to earn a Masters of Art degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia. Mieke's experience includes working with Dine Monte Nido's outpatient treatment program, a branch of Monte Nido's Eating Disorder Treatment Center. As a Dine affiliate, she facilitated meal support groups and process groups. Mieke has also been trained and supervised by Evelyn Tribole, MS, RD and is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. Other experiences include working in Savannah as a substance abuse counselor in both inpatient and outpatient levels of care. Mieke has experience in leading outpatient groups including: meal support groups, trauma informed care groups for PTSD, and substance abuse treatment groups. In addition, she is a Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher (RYT 200 hr) and previously worked in the field of both gymnastics and yoga. Mieke is also a Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist - (CDBT). Mieke combines her professional education with personal experience of recovery from her own eating disorder and understands the tough challenges that are part of the healing process. She has a passion to support others in their recovery journey to live a fully recovered life.
