Melissa is an outpatient Registered Dietitian and the owner of Relinquish Nutrition Counseling in Virginia. Melissa specializes in working with individuals with a history of dieting, disordered eating, and eating disorders. Melissa is non-diet, HAES-aligned, and all-foods-fit Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. She enjoys working with clients to rediscover that food is fuel but it is so much more than fuel. Food is joy and pleasure, comfort and memories, and helps us build connections with others. When people work towards removing guilt and value associated with food they are able to incorporate it in their lives in a pleasurable way. Melissa aims to help her clients feel more at peace with food and their bodies.
