Annie Koempel

I completed B.A.s in history and anthropology from West Chester University in Pennsylvania before moving to Kentucky to study nutritional anthropology in graduate school at the University of Kentucky. Ultimately feeling unfulfilled, I switched career paths and became a registered dietitian in fall 2016. I still believe strongly in the role our personal and cultural history plays in our food choices, and the importance of moving beyond a reductionist approach to nutrition.
