Allison O'Connor

Hi! My name is Allison O’Connor, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). Before going back to school for my Masters, I taught in the public-school system and worked in sales, so I am compassionate and understanding of work environment stressors. I also have a background in the Performing Arts and have experience working with performers and athletes. I love spending quality time (limited phone use!) with my family and friends. I also enjoy taking and teaching yoga and meditation classes, learning new songs to sing, trying out new restaurants and hiking. I am an alumna of The University of Colorado Boulder so nothing compares to those mountains, but NC has some pretty great trails! I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from The University of North Carolina Charlotte and have experience treating a diverse range of medical diagnoses such as generalized anxiety, depression, social anxiety, OCD and eating disorders. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents through my years teaching both elementary and middle school. This has led to my desire to help students struggling in academic settings with perfectionism, learning disability stigma, inattention, procrastination, etc. As someone who has gotten a lot out of learning and practicing the Intuitive Eating principles, I find meaning in helping others do the same! We will combine body, mind and spirit to help lead you to your path of Intuitive Eating. You can expect me to show up fully to each session, ready to give you my best!
